Ingredients

  • 4 pav (पाव) or small bread loaves, hollowed out
  • 1 cup aloo (आलू) (potatoes), boiled and diced
  • 1 cup gobhi (गोभी) (cauliflower), chopped
  • 1/2 cup matar (मटर) (green peas), frozen or fresh
  • 1 pyaaz (प्याज़) (onion), finely chopped
  • 1 tamatar (टमाटर) (tomato), finely chopped
  • 2 hari mirch (हरी मिर्च) (green chilies), chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 inch adrak (अदरक) (ginger), grated
  • 2-3 cloves of lehsun (लहसुन) (garlic), minced
  • 1/2 tsp haldi (हल्दी) (turmeric powder)
  • 1 tsp lal mirch (लाल मिर्च) (red chili powder)
  • 1 tsp dhaniya (धनिया) (coriander powder)
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala (गरम मसाला)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp tel (तेल) (oil)
  • 1 tbsp namak (नमक) (salted butter)
  • Fresh dhaniya patti (धनिया पत्ती) (coriander leaves) for garnish

Method / Preparation

Follow step-by-step instructions
  1. Heat oil in a kadhai (कढ़ाई) (pan), add pyaaz, hari mirch, adrak, and lehsun. Sauté till onions turn translucent.
  2. Add tamatar and cook till they become soft.
  3. Add haldi, lal mirch, dhaniya powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  4. Add boiled aloo, chopped gobhi, and matar. Mix everything together.
  5. Cover the kadhai and let it cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Once the mixture is cooked, add namak and mix again.
  7. Now, take the hollowed-out pav and fill it with the prepared mixture.
  8. Garnish with fresh dhaniya patti and a dollop of salted butter.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Bunny Chow!
